Zoom!® Teeth Whitening
The process of aging can cause teeth to lose their natural luster. Consumption of coffee, soft drinks, cigarettes, and red wine can also discolor a person’s smile. Thankfully, there is a way to reverse the effects of aging and staining agents on your teeth. At our Louisville office, Dr. Russell provides patients with whiter smiles through the Zoom!® in-office teeth whitening system. As featured in ABC’s hit show Extreme Makeover, the Zoom!® teeth whitening process whitens teeth by up to ten shades in a little over an hour.
The first step in the Zoom!® teeth whitening treatment involves the application of a special gel to your teeth. The gel is then activated by an ultraviolet light, which allows it to remove stains and discoloration from the surface of your teeth. This process is followed by a short fluoride treatment, after which your teeth will be markedly whiter.

Porcelain Dental Veneers
Porcelain dental veneers are thin, custom-made laminates that are adhered to the front surfaces of teeth to conceal chips, gaps, cracks, discoloration, and misalignment. These popular enhancements are extremely durable and have been shown to deliver amazing results. The high quality porcelain from which dental veneers are crafted allows them to be customized to complement the features of surrounding teeth, resulting in an extremely natural appearance. The porcelain is also highly resistant to staining, ensuring that patients enjoy their new smiles for many years.
The process of placing porcelain veneers begins with preparation of the teeth. Dr. Russell will gently remove a thin layer of material from the teeth to be covered and leave a roughened surface to which the dental veneers will be adhered. An impression of the teeth will be taken and sent to a lab, where the porcelain veneers will be created. At a later appointment, Dr. Russell will apply the porcelain veneers with dental cement, after checking them for ideal fit and color. Invisalign®
Due to recent advances in dental technology, people who require orthodontic correction no longer have to wear the prominent metal appliances of yesteryear. Today, people have access to a range of treatment options designed to straighten misaligned teeth and produce healthy, beautiful smiles. Dental Bonding
For teeth that have minor aesthetic blemishes such as chips, cracks, or discoloration, dental bonding can be an excellent cosmetic solution. Bonding can also conceal gaps between teeth and can be used as a natural-looking alternative to silver fillings. During the bonding procedure, a composite resin material is applied to a damaged tooth and then hardened using an ultraviolet light. The tooth is then carefully contoured to give it the desired look and feel.
